In our group we synthesize and characterize different nanomaterials such as one and two-dimensional crystals like nanowires (MoO3, WO3, WO3-x, MoxSyIz), nanotubes (MoS2, WS2, MoWS2), and layered TMD materials.
We also study polymer nanocomposites with the addition of MoO3 nanowires and MoS2nanotubes.
Our group also studies the effects of fireworks and other sources on air pollution. During the COVID-19 pandemic we also started testing filtration efficiency of surgical and FFP masks.
Recently we also used our nanomaterials in some applications such as field emission and as antibacterial coatings.
